Yes, you read that number right. At the recent Sotheby's Charity Auction in New York a one of a kind red Mac Pro was sold for a whopping $977,000. The Mac Pro was designed by two of Apple's top developers, Jony Ive and Marc Newson. The custom Mac Pro was estimated to sell between $40-60,000, but it obviously sold for a bit more. This sold alongside a lot of other items designed by Newson and Ive. Including a set of gold Apple Earpods ($461,0000) and a one of a kind aluminium desk. ($1.68M)
